Terms
What you get, and what's expected, when you use Swiftgrove or buy a license.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
In short
- Swiftgrove is free for public repositories on GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket.
- A lifetime license unlocks private repositories, for you, on 2 devices. You pay once.
- It never expires, and every future version is included.
- 14 days to change your mind: see refunds.
Buying a license
Licenses are sold through an online reseller that takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, sends the invoice and pays out refunds. Its terms, shown at checkout, apply to the purchase itself.
Using Swiftgrove for free
You may use Swiftgrove with every feature, at no cost, for repositories that GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket report as public. Repositories without a remote, and repositories on other servers, count as private.
The license
- A license is personal: it's for one person, who may use it on up to 2 devices at the same time. Free a device in Swiftgrove (Help → License) or on the devices page to use another one.
- It lets Swiftgrove open private repositories.
- It doesn't expire, and it includes every future version of Swiftgrove at no extra cost.
- Swiftgrove checks in with the license service every few days to keep the license up to date (for example after a refund). Without an internet connection it keeps working for several weeks.
What's not allowed
Don't share your license key or get around the license check. A shared or refunded license can be switched off.
No guarantees
Swiftgrove is provided as is; keep backups of work that matters. As far as the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid for the license. Your consumer rights always apply.
Privacy
See the privacy policy.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too; the terms you bought under keep applying to your license. Questions: [email protected].
